  • Developmental milestones describe common things children do at a certain age. They include things like social/ emotional development, language development and ability to do certain body movements. It may come to your attention that your child is developing slightly differently to their peers. Often this gets picked up by a doctor, teacher or daycare provider. Some children require extra support to achieve these milestones so they do not get too far behind it is recommended this commences early.   • Perhaps you may have heard of Occupational Therapy before or you are hearing about it for the first time. One thing to know is that OT’s typically work accross a wide scope of practice in many different areas from Workplace rehabilitation to home modifications. It is therefore important to find a therapist who specialises in in the area you require support in. If you are neurodiverse it is important to have a therapist with specialised knowledge who understands the barriers and challenges you are likely to face. This will save you time, energy and see you achieving your goals quicker.

  • After our first phone call we can determine your or your child’s needs or where to from here. We may complete a standardised assessment as a baseline prior to commencing therapy. In our first session we will create some goals either through conversation or using a goal setting tool. In our therapy blocks we will work together to achieve your therapy goals. Our therapists can come to you either in home, day care or school.
